HGV Technician – Up to £50,000 – Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our busy workshop in Stockport. This is a full‑time, permanent position working Monday to Friday on a day shift, ideal for someone confident in servicing, repairs, diagnostics and safety inspections across a mixed commercial fleet.
You will work on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with DVSA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- HGV servicing and routine maintenance
- Diagnostics on electrical, mechanical and electronic systems
- Brake systems including relines, chambers, valves and air system fault‑finding
- Trailer repairs including hubs, drums, air systems and lighting
- Safety inspections including MOT preparation and defect rectification
- Use of OEM diagnostic tooling and workshop equipment
- Accurate completion of job cards and maintenance documentation
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in HGV or Motor Vehicle Maintenance (essential)
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic background
- Experience with HGVs, trailers or commercial vehicles
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence
