Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Manufacturing to lead our manufacturing operations. Duties
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with organisational goals to optimise productivity and efficiency.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily operations across multiple production lines, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for enhancement.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, procurement, and other departments to streamline processes and resolve production issues promptly.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels effectively to meet production targets.
- Drive innovation by implementing new technologies and methodologies that improve manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation whilst promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
- Prepare reports for senior management on operational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting, demonstrating effective team management.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams towards common objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a track record of inspiring staff and driving organisational change.
- Experience in developing operational strategies that optimise productivity while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing environments.
