We are looking for an ambitious, highly organised Property Manager & Operations Coordinator to join our established and growing residential property business.
Having operated in the property industry for over 25 years, we are now looking for the right person to become a key member of our team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of our residential portfolio while working closely with the Director.
This is not simply an administrative role. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and dealing with people, and who wants the opportunity to develop into an important long-term position within the business.
The role
You will help oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of our property portfolio and ensure our properties and tenant experience are maintained to a high standard.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing tenant queries and maintaining excellent tenant relationships
- Coordinating maintenance issues, contractors and follow-up works
- Conducting property viewings
- Preparing and signing tenancy agreements and related documentation
- Monitoring property standards and helping coordinate inspections
- Ensuring outstanding issues are followed through to completion
- Liaising with tenants, contractors and other members of the property team
- Maintaining accurate records and expense spreadsheets
- Supporting the Director with organisation, planning and selected PA responsibilities
- Helping improve systems and processes as the business continues to grow
- Assisting with occasional business events and networking
Who we’re looking for
We would particularly like to hear from candidates who already have experience within residential lettings, property management or a similar property-based role.
You don’t necessarily need to have done exactly this job before. We are interested in finding someone with the right combination of property knowledge, organisation, confidence and drive.
You should be:
- Highly organised and able to prioritise your own workload
- Confident dealing with tenants, contractors and professionals
- Personable with excellent customer service skills
- Proactive rather than waiting to be told what needs doing
- Comfortable taking responsibility and following problems through
- A strong planner with excellent attention to detail
- Confident in a busy, fast-moving environment
- Sociable and comfortable occasionally attending business or networking events
- Comfortable working directly alongside the business owner
Experience with social media would be an advantage but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence and access to a car are required due to the nature of the role.
Career opportunity
This is intended to be a long-term position rather than simply another job.
For the right person, there will be considerable opportunity to develop their responsibilities as the business grows. We are equally interested in someone with existing property management expertise or an ambitious lettings professional who is ready to take the next step in their career.
If you are organised, energetic, good with people and enjoy taking ownership of your work, we would love to hear from you.
