We have an exciting new vacancy for a Cluster Proactive Sales Executive to join our Southport Hotels Cluster, supporting three of our well-established hotels:
- The Prince of Wales Hotel – A 154-bedroom hotel located on the bustling Lord Street, just a short walk from Southport Train Station and Southport Beach.
- The Royal Clifton Hotel – A beautiful 120-bedroom Victorian hotel situated on Southport Promenade, close to the town centre, train station and beach.
- The Scarisbrick Hotel – A 126-bedroom hotel occupying a prime position on Lord Street in the heart of Southport, within easy reach of local attractions and transport links.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across all three Southport hotels, proactively generating new business, developing client relationships and driving conference and event sales across the cluster.

Your duties will include:
- Proactively networking with new and existing clients to promote and sell our conference and event facilities.
- Driving conference and event sales by following up warm leads from previous enquiries and past bookings.
- Attending external client meetings to showcase our venues and services while providing market feedback to the Head of Sales.
- Identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and generate repeat business through proactive and reactive sales activity.
- Researching new business opportunities and conducting sales calls and client meetings to secure bookings.
- Building and maintaining strong long-term relationships with clients to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Representing the hotels at networking events, exhibitions and trade shows to increase brand awareness and develop new business opportunities.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous sales experience, ideally within the hospitality or events industry.
- A good understanding of hotel operations and conference and events sales.
- The ability to balance office-based duties with regular external client meetings.
- A motivated and results-driven approach with a passion for generating new business.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
