Monkey Tree Holiday Park is a multi-award winning family run park known for its commitment to providing exceptional customer service. We are seeking a skilled, efficient and driven Maintenance Assistant to assist our Maintenance Team here at Monkey Tree Holiday Park for the 2026 season.
Working as part of a team and on your own is vital for the role. You will be completing jobs as set out by management to a high standard, covering both reactive and planned work inclusive of repairs, upkeep, safety checks and expansion to ensure the smooth running of the Company.
Situated on the North Coast of Cornwall, Monkey Tree Holiday Park benefits from having some of Cornwall’s finest beaches including Fistral Beach and Perranporth Beach just minutes away – perfect for surfing & great family days out.
What you will be doing:
- Overseeing the maintenance of company outlets, inclusive of but not limited to restaurants, luxury holiday apartments, holiday park, car washes and staff accommodation.
- Maintaining and repairing all maintenance equipment (where appropriate).
- Providing efficient, courteous and flexible customer service.
- Monitoring the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Undertaking responsive work on a rota on-call basis.
What we are looking for:
- Attention to detail and strong customer service skills are key in this role as is the ability to take initiative and work efficiently prioritising an evolving workload.
- Practical experience of working in a maintenance team (essential).
- Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (desirable).
- A good working knowledge of Public Safety Law/procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- An ability to work/remain calm under pressure.
- First Aid at Work (or a willingness to work towards).
- Level 2 Fire Awareness (or a willingness to work towards).
- Driving Licence (Essential)
