The Deer Park Farm Shop & Café is situated in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside where we have established ourselves locally as a destination for shopping, meeting friends, eating and outdoor exercise. Our Farm Shop and Gift Shop stocks a wide range of locally sourced products and we are looking for someone with experience to run it.
Retail Manager
With previous experience in food retail, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of all aspects of the Farm Shop. Duties will include
- Monitoring stock levels, rotating stock, undertaking regular stock checks and controlling wastage
- Working closely with suppliers, ordering stock, receiving and checking deliveries, and organising the stock room
- Monitoring sales performance and identifying new sales opportunities
- Maintaining a clean, appealing and organised retail display which is regularly refreshed
- Ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
- Managing a small team, including the organisation of rotas, training, and Health & Safety of customers and staff on the shop floor
We are looking for someone who is friendly, positive, enthusiastic, flexible, works well as part of a team and takes pride in their work. The role is full time, 40 hours per week over 5 days and will include weekends.
