Summary
Our cooks are vital members of the team at Little Learning Ladder, responsible for preparing nutritious meals for children in our care. This role is based in New Islington/Ancoats and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of young learners.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals suitable for children. Ensure all food safety standards are strictly followed. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
Collaborate with staff to plan menus that meet nutritional guidelines. Manage food inventory and order supplies as needed.
Support a safe and welcoming environment for children during meal times.
Qualifications
Proven experience in cooking or food preparation, preferably in a childcare or similar setting.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Friendly, caring attitude with a passion for working with children.
Preferred: Experience in meal planning and dietary requirements for children.
