Support Worker (Lone Working) – Thanet Area
We’re hiring an experienced, energetic Support Worker to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care. This is a lone‑working role, ideal for someone confident working independently and able to create a safe, structured and engaging daily routine.
The person you’ll support enjoys exercise, walks, sightseeing, cinema trips and pop music, so this role suits someone active, sociable and comfortable planning community activities. Depending on your availability, The role follows a part‑time rota consisting mainly of evening shifts, with occasional daytime hours and alternate weekend working.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, person‑centred support
- Plan and lead daily activities in the community
- Promote independence, safety and wellbeing
- Keep clear records and communication
- Maintain a positive, engaging environment
Essential Requirements
- Must live locally in the Thanet area
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting people with Autism, learning disabilities and personality disorders
- Valid Care Certificate
- Full UK Driving Licence highly preferred
- Active, outgoing personality with interests in music, film and fitness
- Confident lone‑worker with strong communication skills
