Area Manager for Cleaning Services
Location: Bexley and Dulwich
Salary: £35,360 per annum plus company electric vehicle, company mobile phone and laptop
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility required

Town and Country Cleaners is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead cleaning operations across a portfolio of sites in the Bexley and Dulwich areas.

You will play a key role in maintaining excellent standards while building strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.
The role
As an Area Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for a portfolio of sites (education sector), ensuring every contract is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing, supporting and developing Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives across multiple locations.
- Building strong relationships with clients through regular communication and site visits.
- Ensuring contractual cleaning standards and Key Performance Indicators are consistently achieved.
- Recruiting, inducting, training and developing employees.
- Managing staffing levels, absence, holidays and labour budgets.
- Carrying out regular quality inspections together with Health and Safety and safeguarding audits.
- Identifying opportunities to improve performance and implementing effective solutions.
- Producing accurate operational reports and maintaining company compliance standards.
- Supporting operational teams when required to ensure service continuity.
About you
We are looking for someone who leads by example, communicates confidently and has a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service.
You will have:
- Previous experience as an Area Manager, Regional Supervisor or Contract Manager within the cleaning, facilities management or support services sector.
- Experience managing multiple sites and leading large teams.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
- The ability to motivate, coach and develop people.
- Good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
- A full UK driving licence.
An Enhanced DBS check will be completed before employment commences.
