In this role, you’ll work alongside our close-knit team of Optometrists and Optical Assistants to deliver exceptional care to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable healthcare and technical experience in a supportive, friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide exceptional customer service, guiding patients through their eye care journey and making them feel welcome.
- Pre-Screening: Perform initial checks prior to a client’s sight test using our modern pre-test optical equipment.
- Frame Styling & Repairs: Assist clients with frame selection, fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs.
- Lab Work (Training Provided): Learn the ins and outs of our optical laboratory, assisting with lens edging, assembly, and quality control.
- Administration: Manage patient records accurately and efficiently, and support the team with monthly stock takes.
- Practice Care: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for our patients.
- Flexibility: Willingness to occasionally cover at our other local branches in Pontefract and Wakefield when required.
What We Are Looking For
- No optical experience? No problem! We provide full training for the right candidate.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, administration, or a healthcare setting is a plus, but not mandatory.
- A friendly, approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- A positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn new skills.
