A1 Speedy Recovery is expanding our night operation, and we’re looking for a reliable, confident Vehicle Recovery Operator to join our Cardiff-based team.
This role suits someone who’s comfortable working nights, enjoys variety, and can handle vehicle recovery work professionally and safely. Every shift is different, and no two jobs are the same.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Recovering vehicles across South Wales
- Accident and police-led recoveries
- Loading, securing, and transporting vehicles safely
- Operating recovery trucks (tilt & slide, 4x4s and support vehicles)
- Responding to incidents calmly and professionally
- Providing updates to the control room during each job
- Completing job logs and paperwork accurately
- Carrying out vehicle and equipment checks

What We Need From You
- Full UK driving licence (Category CE / C )
- Confidence driving larger vehicles (3.5T+)
- Recovery experience preferred (training available)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong safety awareness and customer skills
- Reliable and punctual — we operate 24/7
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

- 4 on / 4 off
- 8:00pm – 8:00am
- Nights only
- Cardiff-based
- Paid monthly (last working day of each month)
