We're looking for an experienced Community Mental Health Support Worker who understands the challenges faced by individuals living with eating disorders, autism, ADHD and personality disorders.
You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships, support recovery journeys, and help people achieve goals that may have once felt out of reach.

About the Role
Working across individuals' homes and our Supported Living service in Keynsham and the wider B&NES area, you will provide person-centred support to adults with complex mental health and neurodevelopmental needs.
No two days are the same. One day you may be supporting someone to develop strategies for managing an eating disorder, while the next you could be helping an individual build confidence in the community, develop independent living skills, attend appointments, or manage emotional wellbeing.
You'll work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams to ensure people receive the consistent support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support within community and supported living settings.
- Support individuals with eating disorders to maintain recovery-focused routines and goals.
- Work effectively with people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and personality disorders.
- Promote independence, choice, dignity and positive risk-taking.
- Assist with emotional regulation, coping strategies and daily living skills.
- Maintain accurate records, support plans and risk assessments.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders involved in an individual's care.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience in a mental health support, recovery or community-based role.
- Demonstrable experience supporting individuals with eating disorders.
- Experience supporting people with Autism, ADHD and personality disorders.
- Strong understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed approaches.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Flexibility to match support requirements, as well as the ability to work one day every other weekend.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Mental health, neurodiversity or eating disorder-specific training.
- Experience working within supported living services.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and positive behaviour support approaches.
