Situated in one of Northumberland’s most iconic villages, we pride ourselves on delivering a memorable dining experience to both locals and visitors alike. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to support our General Manager and help take the restaurant to the next level.
The Role:
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, lead the front-of-house team, and ensure the highest levels of customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence while helping to implement new ideas to improve service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations
- Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service
- Ensure smooth day-to-day service during lunch and dinner shifts
- Assist with scheduling, stock control, ordering, and supplier management
- Deal with customer feedback and resolve any issues professionally
- Help implement new systems or procedures to improve efficiency and service
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance
- Ensure the business remains fully compliant with all health and safety regulations, including maintaining up-to-date records and making sure all staff receive the necessary training and certifications.
About You:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role in hospitality
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
- Passionate about great food, drink, and customer service
- Organised, reliable, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
