Join Our Specialist Early Years SEND Team

Yeovil Opportunity Group is looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Learning Support SEN team member to work alongside our specialist SEN Keyworkers, and SENCOs.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a highly supportive and specialist Early Years environment. The role includes:
- A mixture of one-to-one, one-to-two, and one-to- 3 learning
- Small group learning
- Whole class learning support
You will also benefit from training and guidance delivered by our highly qualified SEN Teacher-led team.

Celebrating SEND in Early Years, Yeovil Opportunity Group is a unique charity-run pre-school providing early intervention support for children who may need additional help with their learning and development journey, while also supporting their families every step of the way.
Our ethos is centred on partnership working with parents, carers, and multi-agency professionals during the critical early stages of a child’s SEND journey. Children attending our setting move on to both mainstream and specialist educational provisions.
We pride ourselves on maintaining exceptional staffing ratios of no more than 1:3, with every child receiving personalised 1:1 learning opportunities each day to help them achieve their full potential.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 2 qualification or above (preferred)
- Has experience working with children with SEND
- Ideally has SEN-specific training, particularly in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Is caring, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children’s individual needs
Applicants with alternative relevant qualifications and strong practical SEND experience will also be considered.
