We are looking to appoint a part-time Health and Safety Lead to support the safe and compliant operation of our accommodation sites.
This is an important role within the business and would suit someone who is NEBOSH qualified, confident in managing health and safety matters across multiple sites, and able to provide practical advice to managers and staff.
The successful candidate will help ensure that our sites remain safe, compliant, well-managed, and prepared for audits, inspections, and day-to-day operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Health and Safety Lead will be responsible for:
- Providing competent health and safety advice to the business.
- Reviewing and maintaining health and safety policies, procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Completing site health and safety inspections and audits.
- Supporting managers with accident, incident, near miss, and hazard reporting.
- Investigating incidents and identifying corrective actions.
- Monitoring fire safety arrangements, emergency procedures, and general site safety controls.
- Supporting compliance with health and safety legislation and relevant company standards.
- Advising on contractor safety, maintenance risks, workplace hazards, and general operational safety matters.
- Assisting with staff health and safety awareness and toolbox talks where required.
- Maintaining clear records for audits, inspections, and internal monitoring.
- Liaising with management to ensure actions are completed within agreed timescales.
- Supporting continuous improvement across all health and safety arrangements.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- NEBOSH qualification, minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
- Experience carrying out risk assessments and workplace inspections.
- Ability to identify risks and provide practical, proportionate solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage their own workload.
- Confidence dealing with managers, staff, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following areas would be an advantage:
- Accommodation, hotel, facilities management, housing, or supported accommodation settings.
- Fire safety management.
- Contractor management.
- Audit preparation and compliance monitoring.
- Multi-site health and safety support.
- Incident investigation and corrective action tracking.

Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
