The Role
As a Workshop HGV Technician, youll carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs across our diverse fleet, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and operational.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently
- Servicing and maintaining HGVs, fleet vehicles and specialist equipment
- Preparing vehicles for MOT testing
- Undertaking MOT and taxi testing where qualified
- Ensuring all work meets DVSA and safety standards
- Providing technical advice and support to vehicle users
What Were Looking For
Were seeking someone with strong technical skills who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high-quality workmanship.
Essential requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Studies
- Experience within a commercial vehicle or HGV workshop environment
- Knowledge of vehicle systems including hydraulics, electrics, braking systems and transmissions
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
- Commitment to high standards of health and safety

Working Hours
37 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern:
Early Shift
Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Friday: 6:00am - 1:30pm
Late Shift
Monday to Thursday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
Friday: 10:00am - 5:30pm
You will also participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
