Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance instruction, with experience working with children and young learners. This role involves designing engaging dance programmes, fostering creativity, and promoting physical activity among students of various ages. The Dance Teacher will contribute to creating a positive learning environment that encourages artistic expression and personal development. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, behaviour management abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching dance in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate dance lessons that cater to different skill levels and learning styles
- Create engaging lesson that incorporate creative movement, choreography, and physical education principles
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Maintain organised records of attendance, progress, and lesson plans
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student development and programme updates
- Support the organisation of performances or showcases to celebrate student achievements
- Uphold health and safety standards in all activities, ensuring proper behaviour management during lessons
Experience
- Proven experience in dance training and or teaching dance
- Demonstrated ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively during lessons
- Background in tutoring or supporting early childhood education programmes is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage students effectively

Pay: £20.00-£27.00 per hour
