POST TITLE: Yard Operative
RESPONSIBLE TO: Yard Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To control movement of vehicles around the compound, including checking for missing vehicles and keys, assisting with housekeeping duties and any other duties required to ensure efficient running of the site.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- · Collect vehicles from the compound and park in location as instructed
- · Park up vehicles upon completion of internal QC and mark location accordingly
- · Inform the Production Manager of any obvious problems with vehicles when collected
- · Keep access to the Bodyshop clear at all times and maintain tidiness of the Bodyshop
- · Liaise with operatives and help with movement vehicles within the Bodyshop including emptying and loading of spray booths
- · Assist with incoming deliveries of parts etc and store in the correct location
- · Jump start and refuel vehicles when required
- · Assist with litter-picking, bins and tidying around the Bodyshop, poly-tunnels and skip area. Including general maintenance and tidying of overgrown shrubs and trees.
Other Requirements:
To action any other reasonable request from your Line Manager or Company Director and assist the team as applicable.
To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of the job.
Salary - £30,960.18
45 hours per week - 7am - 5pm or 6am-4pm
