Chef – The Oxford Blue, Oxford

The Oxford Blue is a modern independent pub with a plant-based menu, great pizzas, and a buzzing community vibe. We’re looking for Chefs to join our kitchen team for 25–40 hours per week, helping drive our food service, prep, and pizza section.
We are hiring either for a junior chef looking gain skills or an experienced chef who would like to join and help push our pub forward as one of Oxfords best!
The Role
You’ll work across the kitchen, from daytime prep to evening service, and take pride in every plate (and every pizza) that leaves the pass. You’ll be hands-on with food service, dough prep, and pizza throwing, supporting the chef team to deliver consistently high-quality dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prep and cook dishes to a high standard across service periods
- Make, stretch, and cook pizzas with confidence and flair
- Maintain prep levels, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation
- Support menu planning, specials, and daily service flow
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures
- Keep calm, positive, and professional during busy services
About You
- Confident and experienced in a kitchen or pizzeria environment
- Reliable, motivated, and a strong team player
- Comfortable multitasking across prep, service, and pizza work
- Passionate about good food, clean work, and great service
- Weekend availability essential
