A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the team as an Engineering Manager
The Role
· Manage the full refurbishment of pumps and engineering components. Ensuring the strip down, in-progress, final inspection and testing are carried out in accordance with procedures, specifications, drawings and clients requirements. Offering coating or mechanical repair solutions to clients repair requirements.
· Provide direction and technical assistance to works engineering staff that may involve some hands on work.
· Produce proposals and quotations to customers. Provide work updates to customers.
· Assist the Area Sales Managers on sales visits and help generate direct sales leads
· Although the role is mainly based at our Leeds engineering facility, it will involve travel in the UK and possibly overseas carrying out site surveys if required.
- Work closely with the works manager and shop supervisors to ensure all work is carried out safely and to the companies H&S rules.
· Plans work and allocates trained staff for specific areas of work in accordance with the Customer’s needs and timescale.
· Ensures that Inspection reports are raised where appropriate and followed up.
· Assist with ensuring that the system for calibrating/checking of all inspection and testing equipment is functioning satisfactorily and has been checked in accordance with procedures.
· Design and produce CAD drawings for a range of engineering, maintenance and site items and components.
· Manage Corroserve AGMEC range of equipment ensuring items are produced in accordance with the drawings and stock is kept up to date.
· It would be advantageous to have experience in thermodynamic pump monitoring and testing although training will be provided
The Candidate
- Be an excellent communicator and have good people management skills.
· Have comprehensive technical knowledge of pumps, drawings and CAD ability.
· Be experienced in working with all types of Centrifugal pumps of various manufacture, such as HSC, volute, axial flow and vacuum pumps.
· Have practical engineering and technical experience in a supervisory /management role.
· Have a broad experience of Industrial engineering and some experience in customer contact/sales, ideally gained within the Power Generation, Petrochemical, Oil or Water Industries.
Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
