Job Summary
Bright Beginnings Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and caring Toddler Room Lead to join our friendly team. We are committed to creating exciting learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, independence and confidence while ensuring every child feels happy, safe and valued.
As Toddler Room Lead, you will inspire your team to deliver engaging learning experiences for children aged approximately 1 1/2 –2 1/2 years. You will create an exciting environment that promotes exploration, communication and independence while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the Toddler Room team.
- Plan engaging activities following the EYFS Framework.
- Encourage children's independence and confidence.
- Complete observations, assessments and next steps to support learning.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers.
- Support children's emotional wellbeing and behaviour through positive relationships.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety requirements are always met.
- Monitor room quality and support continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop practitioners within the room.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Experience working with toddlers in an Early Years setting.
- Excellent knowledge of child development and the EYFS.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, proactive and caring attitude.
Desirable:
- Previous Room Leader or Senior Practitioner experience.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
