ABOUT AANGAN
Aangan is a fine-dining Nepalese and Indian restaurant located in the heart of Willington, Derby. THE ROLE
We are looking for two experienced, friendly and professional front-of-house team members to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests and providing attentive table service
- Taking food and drink orders accurately
- Explaining dishes and recommending suitable options
- Answering questions about ingredients, spice levels and allergens
- Serving food and drinks professionally
- Preparing and clearing tables
- Helping maintain a clean and welcoming restaurant
- Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
Essential requirements:
- At least one year of experience working in an Indian or Nepalese restaurant, or extensive knowledge of Indian and Nepalese food
- Ability to describe dishes, ingredients, spice levels and allergens accurately
- Previous restaurant or customer-service experience
- Friendly, professional and confident communication skills
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a busy team
- Reliability and good timekeeping
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays when required
Applicants will be asked questions about Indian and Nepalese cuisine during the interview. Please apply only if you meet the experience or food-knowledge requirement and can confidently discuss dishes with customers.
Training on Aangan’s specific menu and service standards will be provided.
