Overview
We are seeking a dedicated cleaner in Birmingham to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing a spotless environment. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring our clients' spaces are safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Punctual and trustworthy
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures, adhering to company standards.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning promptly.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within scheduled timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks as required, such as carpet or upholstery cleaning.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of cleaning experience
- Full, valid driver's licence
- Own cleaning tools and equipment
- Own car (needed to travel between sites)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning duties efficiently.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work.
