Goldin Construction is a trusted SME company based in Brighton, specialising in commercial property maintenance and multi-trade services across the Southeast and London. Our work includes reactive and planned maintenance, refurbishments, repairs, and small-scale fitouts for a range of clients.
We are looking for an estimator to join the team. You will be responsible for producing competitive and accurate quotations for a wide range of commercial maintenance and small works projects. This will involve researching materials, obtaining supplier quotations, and preparing clear and professional estimates for our clients within agreed timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting accurate and competitive quotes and estimates
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
- Understanding client requirements and translating these into costed proposals
- Assisting with cost control and basic commercial reporting where required
- Working collaboratively across different areas of the business to support the wider team
About You
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and eager to contribute. You may already have experience in estimating or quantity surveying, or you may be earlier in your career and keen to build your skills.
Essential / Desirable Skills & Attributes
- A basic understanding of building methods, regulations, and health & safety (or willingness to learn)
- Experience in estimating or a construction-related role is beneficial but not essential
- Strong IT skills and confidence using spreadsheets and estimating software
- Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Flexible attitude and willingness to support the team as needed
- A positive mindset and genuine interest in developing a career in construction
- Drivers license to assist with surveys.
- Pay dependant on experience.
