We are a well-established, family-run café specialising in freshly prepared home-cooked food and homemade desserts. We are looking to recruit a reliable, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Café Team Member to join our friendly team.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the hospitality or food service industry and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service. As the face of our café, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the café.
- Prepare and cook fresh food to a high standard.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the till and carry out end-of-day cashing up procedures.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and presentation throughout the café.
- Open and close the premises in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Support the team in maintaining an organised, efficient, and welcoming working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
- A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A positive, proactive, and hardworking attitude.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays when required.
