We are now looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our Cortayne Road site. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong early years leader to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, inspire and support staff, and ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and education are consistently delivered.
This is an all year round role, 5 days a week. 40 hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Cortayne Road nursery site, ensuring a safe, caring, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children, staff, and families.
- To oversee the delivery of an outstanding play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables every child to make excellent individual progress.
- To ensure the nursery consistently meets and exceeds OFSTED and safeguarding requirements.
- To lead, motivate, and support the nursery team through effective management, coaching, training, and performance development.
- To maintain high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour management, and care throughout the setting.
- To oversee planning and assessment processes to ensure activities are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with early learning outcomes.
- To build strong and positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication regarding children’s development and wellbeing.
- To manage staffing, ratios, recruitment support, rotas, and overall operational effectiveness within the nursery.
- To ensure policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements are implemented and consistently maintained.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above
- Previous experience in a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager within an early years setting.
- Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS Framework, safeguarding, and OFSTED requirements.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills.
- A passion for delivering outstanding childcare and early years education.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with staff, children, and families.
- Confidence in managing nursery operations, compliance, and staff development.
