At the centre of everything is the Founder Film. A cinematic monthly documentary that shows what a founder is actually building and earns real trust with their audience. Shortform clips drive the reach. The longform positions them as the leading voice in their space.

The Role:
You'll be the editing engine behind multiple client accounts, working directly with me on:
- Longform Founder Films. Documentary lifestyle edits built from real footage. A founder's day to day, interviews, behind the scenes, trips, launches. Think vlog style storytelling with documentary craft. You'll assemble story arcs, cut for pacing and emotion, and handle music, sound design and grade.
- Shortform clip libraries. Repurposing each film into batches of edited clips for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Clean captions, tasteful motion, formats that respect the viewer's intelligence.
You'll work to clear editorial briefs. Structure, clip selection and titles are usually mapped before footage reaches you, so your job is execution at a high standard, not guessing what I want.
Whats needed:
- Strong editing and production skills across both longform and shortform
- Confident colour grading. Consistent, cinematic and restrained rather than filtered and crunchy
- Motion graphics and graphics that enhance the story and fit the brand. Clean and typographic, not bouncing emojis
- Advanced Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut, plus solid audio fundamentals
- You can read a brief once, follow brand guidelines and deliver what was asked
- Organised, detail driven and able to hold multiple deadlines without being chased
- A portfolio that shows cinematic storytelling, social first content and range across formats
- Experience with founders, startups or documentary style projects is a plus
The Details:
- Fully remote, freelance
- Monthly retainer, scoped around a consistent volume of work
- Rate discussed privately based on experience and portfolio
- We'll start with a small paid test edit so we can both see if it works
