Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of telecommunication systems and network infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems including CCTV, VoIP, Ethernet networks, and Cisco routers.
- Perform network installation and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Conduct equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on telecommunication hardware such as Avaya systems, Juniper devices, and computer hardware.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and network diagrams to facilitate installation and repair activities.
- Utilise hand tools effectively for cable termination, equipment assembly, and repairs.
- Assist in the setup and integration of telecommunication equipment within existing infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues across various platforms including Ethernet networks and computer networking systems.
- Document all work activities accurately in accordance with organisational standards and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all installation and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in telecommunication systems installation, maintenance, or repair.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, Avaya telephony solutions, Juniper networking devices, Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, VoIP technology, and computer networking principles.
- Hands-on experience with network installation procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools used in telecommunications work such as crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, etc.
- Electrical experience or background is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Relevant certifications or training in telecommunications or networking are advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £1,850.00-£3,200.00 per month
