We are looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse / Receptionist to join our friendly and professional private dental practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, confident and approachable dental nurse who enjoys both clinical nursing and patient-facing reception work.
About the role
The successful candidate will play an important role in the smooth running of the practice and will be responsible for both clinical and reception duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing chairside assistance to dentists and clinicians
- Preparing surgeries and ensuring they are fully stocked
- Maintaining excellent infection control and decontamination standards
- Cleaning and sterilising instruments
- Maintaining accurate patient and clinical records
- Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional service
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with patient enquiries
- Booking and managing appointments
- Taking payments and carrying out general reception duties
- Liaising with patients, clinicians and the wider practice team
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the practice
- Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
We are looking for someone who is:
- GDC registered and qualified as a Dental Nurse
- Experienced within a dental practice
- Confident working both chairside and on reception
- Friendly, professional and approachable
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- A strong communicator who enjoys working with patients
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
- Comfortable using computers and dental practice management systems
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Passionate about delivering an excellent patient experience
Private dental experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
