Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products to customers in a timely and courteous manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring patients receive their medications promptly and safely.
This role is Monday to Friday between two to four working hours daily depending on delivery load. Start time can be flexible.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver pharmaceutical orders to customers’ homes or designated locations.
- Ensure accurate and secure handling of medication deliveries, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the delivery vehicle.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries made, including mileage and delivery times.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, ideally within pharmacy, courier, or warehouse environments.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of local routes and excellent navigation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous but not essential.
