Salary: Competitive – Based on experience ( 750-850GBP per week )
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Van Mechanic to join our team in Smethwick, Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of commercial vans to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on vans.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Perform MOT preparation and repairs.
- Replace and repair engines, brakes, suspension, clutches, gearboxes, and other components.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues.
- Complete job records accurately and maintain a clean, safe workshop.
- Ensure all work is carried out to high safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a van or light commercial vehicle mechanic.
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of diesel and petrol engines.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
