We are seeking a motivated and skilled Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a telescopic forklift—commonly known as a telehandler—to move, lift, and position materials across various job sites. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient handling of heavy loads, supporting project timelines and maintaining a secure work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while honing your mechanical skills and gaining valuable experience in heavy equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Operate the telehandler safely and efficiently to transport materials around the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Load, unload, and position building materials, equipment, and supplies with precision and care
- Conduct routine inspections of the telehandler before each shift, checking for mechanical issues or safety hazards
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and placements for optimal workflow
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance needs
- Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary
- Follow all site safety regulations and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience operating a telehandler or similar heavy machinery in a construction or industrial setting
- Suspended loads. !!
- In date medical report
- Valid driver’s license with relevant endorsements for operating heavy equipment: CPCS ; NPORS
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards and procedures at all times
