We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatch Operator to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient day-to-day operation of the dispatch function, supporting the timely distribution of finished goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service. The role coordinates dispatch activities, operates loading and weighing equipment, completes quality and compliance checks, maintains accurate documentation and inventory records, and communicates effectively with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company procedures, environmental standards, and health and safety requirements.

At Land Energy, we operate a high-performance biomass Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant equipped with an Organic Rankine Cycle turbine, along with a 100,000-tonne wood pellet production facility. Our new wood briquette production line produces 45,000 tonnes annually.

What you’ll be doing:
· Daily running operations of a busy dispatch area
· Follow all SOP’s & OPL’s during day to day running
· Quality checks when loading bulk loaders which includes visual checks and temperature checks per load
· Operating a forklift truck and always ensuring safe driving standards
· Correct use of weighbridges and bulk loading equipment
· Ensuring all pallets dispatched comply with the company’s strict quality measures (zero tolerance on damaged pallets going out the door)
· Collect daily samples from our bulk loader
· Report faults and issues to the relevant line manager
· Complete all relevant paperwork required per load
· General housekeeping in warehouses, weighbridges & all loading areas
· Daily communication with sales team
· Stocktaking of all finished good products
· Maintain EHS, quality and environmental responsibilities & standards in line with company guidelines
What we are looking for:
- Previous work in a similar environment is preferred
- Forklift truck preferred, but not essential
- Familiarity with Microsoft packages
- A full driving license is essential
Pay: £28,298.00 per year
