Plasterer Multi Trader – Social Housing
Location: Kensington & Chelsea, London
Salary: £39,000 per annum
Bonus: Up to £500 per month
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plasterer Multi Trader to join a housing association maintenance team, carrying out reactive repairs across occupied social housing properties in Kensington & Chelsea.
This is a permanent position offering a £39,000 salary, company van and fuel card, alongside a monthly bonus scheme and excellent benefits.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of reactive maintenance and repair works within occupied social housing properties. The role will primarily focus on plastering, but you will also be expected to undertake a variety of general multi-trade repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties.
- Complete plastering repairs including patching, skimming and making good.
- Repair damaged walls and ceilings.
- Carry out general multi-trade maintenance works where required.
- Undertake making-good works following plumbing, electrical and other repairs.
- Complete repairs to properties to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Diagnose issues and identify the appropriate repair solution.
- Work professionally within residents' homes, maintaining excellent customer service.
- Keep properties clean and tidy while carrying out works.
- Complete job sheets and update PDA/mobile systems accurately.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety requirements.
- Liaise professionally with residents, colleagues and supervisors.
- Work independently while managing a daily schedule of reactive repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plasterer Multi Trader within property maintenance.
- Strong plastering skills are essential.
- Experience working within social housing, housing associations or local authority maintenance is highly desirable.
- Experience carrying out reactive repairs in occupied properties.
- Good knowledge of general property maintenance and repairs.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload.
- Must be comfortable working in residents' homes.
