Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Bus/Coach Mechanics to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of buses and coaches to ensure safe, reliable transportation services. Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections of buses and coaches, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
- Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to restore vehicles to optimal condition.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components effectively.
- Solder electrical connections and replace faulty wiring or components to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle.
- Assist with the assembly or modification of vehicle parts or accessories as needed.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators and forklifts safely during repair or maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies while providing excellent customer service to internal teams or external clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vehicle repair, fabrication, welding, electrical work, or related fields within heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for electrical systems and mechanical assemblies.
- Electrical experience including soldering, wiring repairs, and troubleshooting complex circuits.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Familiarity with operating equipment such as excavators and forklifts is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues or clients.
