Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent Warehouse Picker and Packer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and packing goods, ensuring efficient stock management, and maintaining high standards of quality control. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse operations within a fast-paced environment, contributing to the smooth flow of goods from receipt to dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Select items from stock based on order specifications using appropriate materials handling techniques
- Pack products securely for shipping, ensuring protection during transit
- Desirable to be able to operate a forklift and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently when required
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels and locations
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries
- Stock shelves accurately, replenishing stock as needed to maintain organisation
- Conduct quality control checks to verify product accuracy and condition before dispatch
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Support stock rotation procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including picking & packing, stocking, and shipping & receiving
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate order fulfilment
- Good physical stamina to stand, walk, load, and unload for extended periods
- Prior experience in quality control processes is beneficial
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency
This position is full time to support the summer peak.
