Primrose Healthcare Solutions Services Ltd (PHSSL) is a trusted healthcare recruitment agency supplying experienced Support Workers to supported living services, residential homes, and community services across the UK.
We are currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Support Workers to support adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs, Acquired Brain Injury, and other complex support needs.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion. Every individual is different, and you'll play a key role in helping people achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality person-centred support.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Support individuals with daily living activities.
- Encourage independence and community participation.
- Build positive and trusting relationships.
- Support individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions.
- Administer medication (where trained and authorised).
- Maintain accurate care records and daily notes.
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures, and company policies.
- Respond calmly and professionally to challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support techniques.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 YEARS UK Support Worker or Health Care Assistant experience (preferred).
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, or Mental Health needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one).
- Relevant mandatory training is advantageous.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable but not essential.
