Amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join the kitchen team at our award-winning, seafront restaurant in a full time position.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation and cooking within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Frying experience is also a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking food items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and work surfaces
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
- Support meal preparation during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and excellent customer service
- Serve food to customers when required, maintaining a friendly and professional attitude
Requirements
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related culinary role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility to work shifts that will include both evenings and weekends
- A positive attitude with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour
