We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Deliver goods to clients and customers across designated routes within specified timeframes.
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and update logs as required.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; a <PERSON> driver qualification is preferred.
- Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading goods.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with local routes and navigation tools is beneficial.
