We are seeking a motivated and energetic Collection Van Driver with Loading and Unloading responsibilities, based at our Cardiff location. This vital role involves safely collecting items from designated locations, efficiently loading and unloading cargo, and ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving background, excellent communication skills, and the physical capability to handle heavy lifting. Duties
- Safely operate a collection van to pick up items from various locations.
- Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, collection records, and vehicle documentation
- Follow all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during daily operations
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving goods or organizing inventory when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, driver certification preferred
- Experience in warehouse work or handling heavy lifting is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and safety procedures in Cardiff area
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of service

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
