Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with our restaurant standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in meal assembly, ensuring presentation meets company guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and fryers
- Follow portion control guidelines to minimise waste and optimise efficiency
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Adhere strictly to health and safety policies, including food hygiene standards
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation or as a kitchen assistant is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and culinary practices preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is beneficial
- Previous serving experience can be an asset, especially in understanding customer service expectations
