Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Previous experience in care environments and driving skills are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Support clients in home care settings, helping with household tasks and companionship
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Drive clients or residents when required, ensuring safe transportation to appointments or activities
Requirements
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT literacy for maintaining accurate documentation and care plans
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when necessary
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care or transportation duties
- Experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
