FightSports UK is one of Essex's leading martial arts and fitness academies, offering Boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA and Strength & Conditioning in a professional, welcoming and family-friendly environment. We're looking for a confident, organised and enthusiastic individual to become the face of our gym and help deliver an outstanding experience for every member and visitor.
The Role
As our Front of House & Member Services Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for members, visitors and prospective customers. You'll be responsible for ensuring reception runs smoothly, supporting coaches and members, maintaining high standards across the facility, and helping convert enquiries into memberships. You'll play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while supporting the day-to-day operation and continued growth of FightSports UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome members and visitors in a friendly, professional and enthusiastic manner. Manage the reception desk throughout each shift. Handle enquiries from prospective members and convert walk-in visitors into memberships. Support new member sign-ups and onboarding. Manage the business email inbox and social media enquiries. Answer member questions and provide excellent customer service. Carry out opening and closing procedures. Ensure reception, entrance and communal areas remain clean, organised and professional. Monitor stock levels of drinks, merchandise and retail products. Process retail sales and maintain inventory records. Liaise with suppliers when required. Support the smooth day-to-day running of the gym. Help ensure coaches, members and visitors follow gym policies, procedures and house rules. Complete routine health and safety checks, including opening and closing safety procedures. Escalate any maintenance, safeguarding or operational issues to management.
About You
- Friendly, approachable and confident. Reliable and punctual. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Comfortable speaking with new people and building relationships. Professional and well presented. Able to work independently and use their initiative. Confident using email, social media and basic computer systems. Passionate about customer service and creating a positive member experience.
Experience within a gym, leisure, hospitality, retail or customer service environment would be an advantage but isn't essential.
Part-Time Role with Progression
This is more than a reception role. As FightSports UK continues to grow, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and become an important part of the management team.
- Membership administration. Managing direct debits and payment follow-ups. Responding to social media enquiries. Supporting marketing campaigns and promotions. Organising competitions, seminars and gym events. Supporting coach schedules and class administration. Assisting with member retention and engagement initiatives. Helping improve business systems and operational processes.
