Care Assistant needed for a small residential care home in the centre of Llandudno.
Set weekly Shifts offered are 3 day shifts (9am-7pm)
The ability to cover holidays/sickness via overtime is essential, this will include sleeping night shifts.
We are a small long established family run Residential care home for adults with Mental Health issues. All our residents are very independent and we provide little to no personal care with the emphasis on this being their home. We pride ourselves on our ability to run a home with a relaxed atmosphere.
We have an excellent recent CIW report and are we are well respected by local social services.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate and considerate person who will respect and show understanding to our residents. You must be able to work in a professional person centred manner.
Duties:
- Support individuals in their day to day tasks when required.
- Meal preparation
- Administer medication
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Document medical appointments and produce daily notes through an online system.
- Attend appointments with individuals if they wish for you to do so.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a caregiving role preferred.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to get stuck into the job.
