Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team as Scare Actors/Actresses for our seasonal haunted attraction. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with visitors in a fun, lively environment, creating memorable experiences through theatrical performance and interactive storytelling. The position is paid and suitable for those who enjoy performing, entertaining, and working in a dynamic setting.
Duties
- Perform as a convincing and engaging scare actor within designated themed areas of the attraction.
- Interact with visitors in character, ensuring an immersive experience while maintaining safety and comfort.
- Use physical acting skills, including dancing and expressive movements, to enhance scare tactics and entertainment value.
- Maintain the character’s appearance and costume throughout shifts, adhering to costume guidelines.
- Collaborate with fellow actors and staff to coordinate performances and ensure smooth operation of the attraction.
- Respond appropriately to visitor reactions, adjusting performance style as needed to ensure positive guest experiences.
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of scenes or props when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dancing, acting, or performing arts is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with visitors and team members.
- Confidence in performing in costume or makeup, with a positive attitude towards role-playing scenarios.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment while maintaining professionalism.
