Reporting To: Workshop Supervisor
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Steel Fabrication Welding Operative to carry out welding and fabrication tasks within our Birstall workshop. The role involves working with structural steel and components, producing high-quality welds, and ensuring all work meets EN1090 standards and WPS specifications.
Key Responsibilities
· Welding & Fabrication
· Carry out MIG welding to required standards
· Fabricate and assemble steel components from engineering drawings
· Operate workshop tools and equipment
· Quality & Accuracy
· Ensure all work meets company quality standards
· Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
· Production
· Work to production schedules and meet deadlines
· Health & Safety
· Follow all health and safety procedures
Requirements
· Previous experience in welding and steel fabrication
· Competence in MIG welding (TIG desirable)
· Ability to read engineering drawings
Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
