Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Assistant to support daily operations within our busy soft play centre. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a friendly demeanour. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment, working closely customers and their children. The candidate will also be confident, fun and friendly and able to host children's birthday parties.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring positive first impressions
- Assist with merchandising tasks, including stock organisation and display setup to optimise sales
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling enquiries or taking orders, booking parties or any other queries ensuring clear and friendly communication
- Support sales through upselling products or services where appropriate, enhancing customer experience and revenue opportunities
- Maintain organised workspaces and ensure the cleanliness of the premises
- Manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated schedules
- Support team members with administrative duties such as data entry or filing as required
- Assist with organising events or promotional activities as needed
- Must use initiative in a fast pace environment
- To be able to host parties with great enthusiasm
- Make public announcements to a venue full of customers
- Able to support and assist customers to ensuring that they have the best experience
Qualifications:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Friendly phone etiquette with the ability to upsell products or services tactfully
