National Timber Systems, part of the Premier Forest Products Group, is looking to recruit an FLT Driver / Loader at its site on Oxclose Park Road North, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S20 8GN.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and able to work effectively in a busy working environment. They should demonstrate a proactive attitude, have a strong awareness of health and safety and work well as part of a team.
Previous experience operating a forklift truck and loading vehicles within a warehouse, manufacturing or timber environment would be preferred.
What you will be doing …..
· Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently.
· Loading and unloading vehicles in accordance with delivery and collection requirements.
· Checking loads to ensure the correct products and quantities are being dispatched.
· Moving timber, stock and finished products around the site.
· Ensuring loads are secure, stable and prepared safely for transportation.
· Carrying out daily checks on forklift trucks and reporting any defects or concerns.
· Completing relevant paperwork accurately.
· Supporting the effective rotation and organisation of stock.
· Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.
· Carrying out duties in accordance with Company health and safety requirements.
· Following Company policies and procedures at all times.
What we are looking for…
· Previous experience operating a forklift truck.
· A valid FLT licence or recognised certification.
· Previous loading and unloading experience would be advantageous.
· Good attention to detail and an awareness of safe loading practices.
· The ability to work effectively under pressure.
· A reliable and flexible approach to work.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
