The role
You will be working for the travel brand Specialist Holidays Group within a creative and visionary team, all striving towards taking the brand to the next level. The Senior Social Media Executive will play a key role in delivering and optimising Social Media activity across Specialist Holidays Group’s six travel brands.
We’re looking for a highly creative, trend led Senior Social Media Executive to work across our socials, planning and executing our growing our social channels.
Working closely with the Head of Social, you will take ownership the content strategy via our organic and paid channels through Meta and TikTok whilst working closely with the wider social media team to promote commercial offers.
You’ll have a strong understanding of content that performs, having a sharp eye for social trends, and the ability to turn brand messaging into engaging, platform native storytelling.
The role is carried out in support of the overall marketing strategy and goals. This involves closely liaising with the communications and product managers to ensure content is social first and in keeping with our brand identity along with KPIs for driving traffic to the website and increase sales.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Social to implement the social strategy
- Plan, build, schedule and approve social campaigns across multiple brands.
- Design, build and optimise complex paid social campaigns across multiple brands and channels.
- Take ownership of weekly/monthly performance reporting and ad-hoc business reports for paid activity
- Support the management of the monthly Social Media campaign calendar, ensuring activity aligns with trading priorities.
- Ensure all communications follow brand tone of voice and guidelines.
- Monitor and report on content performance, identifying optimisation opportunities.
- Use reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok platform analytics to analyse performance metrics and consumer behaviour.
- Produce regular performance reports, comparing results against competitors and sharing insights with relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee social styling, and creative social direction where needed
- Work with the Head of Brand on the Influencer campaigns across the Specialist Holidays Group brands
- Test and iterate content formats based on previous learnings
- Build and help strategize a YouTube content plan for key performing brands across the group
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a creative, commercial and analytical marketing leader with the gravitas to operate at executive level. Skills, experience and personal characteristics include:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Social Media role on socials, at a PR / Content / Media agency or brand
- Good analytical understanding to organise and interpret data. Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic understanding of Google Analytics as well as Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Meta Ad Centre and TikTok Business Suite.
- Confident presenting and featuring in content where appropriate, acting as a credible and authentic face of the brand
- Strong understanding of the nuances of different social platforms and the ways audiences consume content on them
- Experience in creating social media proposals across BAU and campaigns
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Creative thinker with demonstrable examples of high performing content.
- Strong eye for visual detail and styling
- Exceptional trend spotting ability and awareness of cultural shifts
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Highly flexible, positive and resilient with the ability to be innovative and collaborate
- Managerial experience
- Must be able to work as and be part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace; Flexible and adaptable to change.
