Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests receive exceptional service from arrival to departure. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to memorable guest experiences. Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Provide attentive guest service, addressing any enquiries or special requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales
- Assist with food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including food safety protocols
- Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills are desirable
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- A positive attitude with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer experiences
